Another Birthday

A very dear friend of mine asked me to make a birthday cake for a family member of hers. It was sort of last minute but it was something I really wanted to do, it would be my first fully stacked, 2 tier cake. I really enjoyed designing and creating this cake.

(The cake is white cake with butter cream icing, hand piped buttercream swirls and sugar pearls.)

  1. You did NOT pipe all that yourself! Good gracious, Lindsey! I can barely keep my hand steady when I'm writing on the board at school. That is amazing.

  3. Um, and by the way, it tasted AMAZING!!! Half of the restaurant thought so...the other half was jealous b/c they didn't get a taste! LOL :) Anyway, thanks for making it Linds, we appreciated it...and I know the bday girl loved it too!

  4. Steph is right. You *definitely* could, if it would still be fun for you to do it full-time.

Glad to hear it tasted good too, Autumn! Haha - not that I doubted, because my shower cupcakes were divine. But it's always such a disappointment when pretty cakes are nasty. I hate it when a bride doesn't bother to make sure her wedding baker uses homemade batter. Come on! Those things are too expensive not to be homemade! Ok, off my soapbox...
