Pink Ribbon Cake

A happy birthday cake for the mother/grandmother of one of the sweetest families in Lexington, SC. The cake is strawberry (my first time making this flavor cake) with buttercream icing. The top of the cake is covered in a layer of fondant. All decorations are fondant. I'm really starting to get the hang of fondant ribbons! This cake was fun to work on and I actually really enjoyed covering part of the cake in fondant, I may be ready to try a fully covered fondant cake now!!

  1. It turned out really nice. I love the fondant ribbon roses. I've been wanting to learn how to do that.

  2. I consider myself somewhat of an expert on your cakes since this was my fourth opportunity to experience the deliciousness of your creations. They have all been WONDERFUL and BEAUTIFUL, but I do think the strawberry was my favorite! Thank you again!
