What kind of sister would I be if I didn't make my own brother a birthday cake?
He has always had a love for Boston Terriers and he just recently got a new Boston terrier pup that he is madly in love with. It was pretty obvious what his cake design should be.
This cake was a ton of fun to design and make.
The top cake is yellow the bottom is chocolate.
The dog is made out of RK's and Fondant, hand painted with food coloring gel.
The cake is iced in homemade buttercream, the circles are fondant.
Sculpting the dog was probably the hardest part. It was creepy looking until the very end. I wanted to share a picture though, but I put it after the actual cake pictures, because...well look at it! yikes!
I do not usually share pictures of the person I made a cake for...but he's my brother and again I ask... What kind of sister would I be if I didn't harass my brother on occasion?Plus, I loved the candles and I didn't get a picture of the cake with candles on it before my brother sat down ;-)
